Connecting the Systems Behind an Iconic British Brand

Focus Area: Systems Integration — Financial & Operational Data

Client

Triumph Motorcycles

Challenge

Legacy bespoke integration creating processing bottlenecks and visibility gaps

Triumph Motorcycles' operational systems — covering ordering of component parts, sales, and distribution of motorcycles, accessories, and clothing — all fed financial data into their SunSystems platform via a bespoke VB script integration dating back to 2002. Ageing and increasingly fragile, it needed replacing without disrupting the business.

Our Approach:

1. Discovery Workshops: Ran fact-finding sessions with Triumph and Infor consultants to fully map the existing integration landscape and identify replacement risks.

2. Solution Design: Scoped a like-for-like replacement that would improve functionality, not just replicate it.

3. Connections Implementation: Deployed Cocoon's Connections platform to provide end-to-end integration between Triumph's disconnected operational and financial systems — replacing fragile bespoke scripts with a robust, supported solution.

4. Validation & Go-Live: Ensured data transformation, validation, and integration parity throughout, with no disruption to ongoing operations.

Key Outcomes:

Phenomenal improvement in invoice processing speeds — staff no longer working into the evening to complete uploads

Total visibility of system activity across operational and financial platforms

Secure audit trail providing the governance and accountability the business needed

Reduced operational risk by replacing an ageing bespoke solution with a supported, scalable platform

It is refreshing in the service sector industry to come across a company that is so customer focused; it is definitely ingrained within the culture of Cocoon. This differentiates them from other resellers — the difference is someone that cares.
